Sanskar Highschool

Our Vision

We envision a school -
- Where students and staff form a caring community and take pride in all the members of the school.
- Where learning takes place without fear and extends beyond academics.
- Where students build an unshakable foundation of concepts & skills & take responsibility for their own understanding.
- Where students value quality in their learning experiences.
- Where students prepare for the future by acquiring skills which will enable them to be seekers, users & communicators of knowledge.
- Where confident & wholesome individuals will contribute to build a more just society, based on democratic ideals.

Infrastructure

The School is equipped with large buildings consisting of 75 well-ventilated Classrooms, 3 Science laboratories, 2 Assembly Halls, 2 Libraries and a Dining Room which seats about 250 children.

Co-Curricular Activities

A wholesome development depends upon the harmony of body and mind. To achieve this we will be providing a varied range of activities.

Creative Arts & Physical Education
Creative Arts: A syllabus has been planned so that children from the primary section onwards learn to appreciate the arts. They will be exposed to tabla, Indian dance, painting, choreography, Indian and Western vocal music and much more.

Fine Art & Painting
All students are expected to appear for the Elementary and Intermediate exam in painting, conducted by the State government.

Tabla & Indian dance
All the children from Standard IV & V have to learn either the Tabla or Dance depending on their preference. Knowledge and appreciation of rhythm is important from a young age.

Art & Choreography
Children who do not opt for advanced Tabla or Dance have the option of learning a variety of different art forms or free-form dance.

Indian Vocal
Every child, from Standard I onwards is taught the rudiments of Indian vocal music. This not only teaches children voice modulation, but also helps them to learn the language.

Physical Education
The school activities are structured in such a manner as to ensure an all-round development of the students instead of confining to mental development through lessons in the class room. Adequate opportunities are provided to the students to take part in games and a variety of other co-curricular activities. This helps the students develop a healthy spirit of sportsmanship and companionship, which will enable them face the life with ease. This will also help them develop physically, aesthetically and morally.

Physical and health education are an integral part of the academics. The objectives are :

  • To develop the physical faculties of the students
  • To ensure mass participation of the students
